First, the influence of the toe value on the side slip

1. Negative (reverse) toe. The front wheel toe value is too small, even negative (that is, when the car is parked in the straight direction, the front wheel front distance is larger than the back distance, the two front wheels will roll outwards. When the car is driving straight ahead, two The rigid I-beam between the front wheels will force the two front wheels back to the straight direction, so the two front wheels slide inward in addition to the forward rolling. When the two front wheels roll over the side slides, the side slides are pushed to the inside. mobile.

2. The toe value is too large. The distance behind the two front wheels is much larger than the front distance, exceeding the allowable limit. When the electric vehicle travels straight ahead, the two front wheels will roll inward and forward, while the I-beams will force the two front wheels to roll forward, so the two front wheels slide outwards in addition to rolling forward. When the two front wheels roll over the side slides, the side slides are pushed outward.

Second, the front wheel camber angle is reduced. If the front axle of the electric passenger car adopts the relevant suspension, if the knuckle king pin and the bushing (or the kingpin and the front axle pin hole) fit loosely, the front wheel camber angle may be reduced or even become a negative camber. That is, the upper portion is inclined from outward to inclined inward. When the tire is elastically deformed, its outer diameter will be larger than the inner diameter. The two front wheels become cones that can roll inward and forward. When the electric car advances in the straight direction, the front axle (I-beam) will force the two front wheels to the straight direction. In this way, the two front wheels slide outwards in addition to the forward rolling, and the two front wheels push the side slides outward when they roll over the side slides.

Third, the diagnosis of excessive slippage

1. When the two front wheels of the vehicle roll forward and backward on the side slide, if the side slide moves in the opposite direction, it is caused by improper front beam value. That is, when the car is moving forward, the two front wheels move the side slides inward and move backwards to a negative (reverse) front bundle; when the car advances, the two front wheels move the side slides outward, and move backwards to move forward. The beam value is too large.

2. When the two front wheels of the electric vehicle roll forward and backward on the side skateboard, if the side slides move in the same direction, which is caused by the abnormality of the front wheel camber, check whether the knuckle kingpin is fitted with loose rafts (the independent suspension car should check the front axle). Whether there is looseness at both ends of the hanging arm).

The amount of side wheel slip of an electric vehicle exceeds the allowable limit, resulting in reduced steering performance and rapid wear of the tire. Therefore, measures should be taken to comprehensively repair.
