Who are the world's top 10 electric car manufacturers?

Who is the biggest seller of electric cars?

Different agencies seem to have different answers.

Manufacturers' true electric-vehicle deliveries also appear to be at odds with the Numbers in this ranking, due to differences in the definition of "deliverables" between manufacturers and research institutes.

Here's a look at the forbes.com results

Top 10 global pure electric vehicle manufacturers published by JATO data provider: 1. Renault - nissan

2. Tesla.

Beijing auto.

4, lh-zd.

Good luck.

6. Jianghuai automobile.

Modern.

8. Zhongtai.

BMW.

10. The data on the left of Chevrolet is the deliveries in March this year, while the data on the right is the deliveries from January to march this year.

全球十大电动车制造商名单出炉

For some of the larger OEM manufacturers, they had these statistics long ago.

Manufacturers obtain these statistics from a number of independent data providers, typically including Polk, JATO Dynamics and others.

These statistics are expensive to subscribe, but OEM manufacturers are well worth the effort: they have access to highly reliable and actionable information.

JATO Dynamics and its global analyst Juan Felipe munoz-vieira contributed generously to Forbes magazine.

Forbes magazine has now released its figures on the expensive electric cars.

The data reflect only the purely electric passenger car segment, and plug-in hybrids are not included in the data because they are often seen as the most disclosed product in the electric vehicle industry.

The true sales list of the all-electric (BEV) makers is sure to surprise most.

From the list, the popularity of tesla electric cars is far less than expected.

The real leader in the global electric car industry is the nissan - Renault alliance.

Gm's Chevrolet Bolt has attracted a lot of attention, but its market share is small.

General motors' Chevrolet finished last on the list of the world's top 10 electric car manufacturers.

Not surprisingly, half of the world's top 10 electric vehicle manufacturers are OEM manufacturers from China.

These electric car makers from China may be a far cry from what the outside world has heard and seen.

Many people assume that byd from China may be bigger than tesla, but that's not true.

Data from JATO Dynamics suggests byd may not even make the top 10.

In fact, BAIC, which has a low profile, became the world's third-biggest maker of electric vehicles in the first quarter.

For now, the biggest impact on the global ranking of electric vehicle sales may be the amount of electric vehicle deliveries that tesla has failed to complete (and is delivering).

Tesla recently disclosed to shareholders that it created 25,051 new car quarterly deliveries in the first quarter of 2017.

This is a very important number for the ranking situation.

The renault-nissan alliance delivered 36,723 new cars in the same period.

The delivery Numbers are very close to the number of manufacturers released by JATO Dynamics.

Because there are many statistical factors, the final result cannot be exactly the same.

But if the Numbers released by OEM manufacturers are to be believed, the results are also very close.

First, you need to understand some of the statistical methods.

For those who want pure data on electric vehicles, the renault-nissan alliance's Numbers may have an unsatisfying flaw.

Because the overall figure includes 7,024 mitsubishi Outlander plug-in hybrids, those Numbers should be dropped.

In addition, the overall number in the report includes 2,724 pure electric commercial vehicles.

JATO Dynamics considers purely electric passenger vehicles rather than purely electric commercial vehicles.

By stripping out the number of electric vans delivered by the renault-nissan alliance, the overall figure for purely electric passenger vehicles is 26,975.

That's only a few hundred more units than JATO Dynamics' sales figure.

The renault-nissan alliance's Numbers should therefore be reliable.

特斯拉公布的第一季度汽车交付数据与JATO统计的数据存在约5000辆的差别

There is a difference of about 5,000 vehicles between tesla's first-quarter vehicle delivery figures and those compiled by JATO

In the case of tesla, however, there is a big difference.

JATO Dynamics could not find convincing evidence of tesla's claim that it delivered 25,000 electric vehicles to end users in the first three months of the year.

Tesla delivered and registered just 20, 000 electric vehicles in the first three months, according to JATO Dynamics.

In the past two weeks, some sales analysts in the electric car industry have repeatedly given an analysis of 20, 000 vehicles, and JATO Dynamics has confirmed the accuracy of the data.

So where are tesla's remaining 5,000 electric cars?

Some analysts believe these electric vehicles may have entered the Chinese market.

Li junheng, China market analyst at JL Warren figures, said 5,619 tesla electric cars were exported to the Chinese market last week, but they were not delivered in the first quarter of 2017.

Reports from the media said that tesla CEO elon musk had condemned scalpers two years ago when more than 2,000 tesla electric vehicles were sold in the Chinese market.

Musk then also fired tesla's sales management team in China.

"We set a quarterly record of 25,051 vehicles delivered in the first quarter," tesla said of the "vanishing" electric vehicles in the first quarter.

Any other number is incorrect.

As for tesla's definition of "deliverables," a spokesperson from the company said: "our 'deliverables' refer to all vehicles being delivered to the end user.

Our statistics on the delivery of an electric vehicle are based on whether it has been transferred to the final customer and has all the correct delivery documents.

In February, due to the impact of subsidy regression and the reiteration of the catalogue of models, all byd models did not perform well, and the sales of tang-qin plug-in hybrids were cut by half in February.

Although the sales of byd qin EV and byd e5 recovered in March, they were not among the top 10 electric vehicle sales in the world.

Byd, which took the top spot in new energy sales last year, finished eighth in the first quarter.

Byd positions are expected to rise in April as policy improves.
